Lacey Hofmeyer joined TSG Advisors in 2023 as its General Counsel and Policy Advisor after an impactful legal career specializing in education law, public policy, and government relations.

Most recently, Lacey was Broward College’s General Counsel and Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy. She oversaw the legal services function at the College, providing legal and compliance advice to the College in contract negotiations and review, public procurement, employment and union matters, litigation and claims management, real estate, and more. Lacey also worked hand-in-hand with the President and the Board to develop and execute its legislative priorities at the local, state, and federal level, as well as to provide policy analysis and compliance implementation following legislative session.

Lacey provided strategic advice and thought leadership to support Broward College’s mission. She has over 16 years of experience in the legal field, having first been in private practice at the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig, P.A. in Miami. As an Associate then Shareholder, Lacey was a commercial litigator with expertise in the finance and real estate disputes, property insurance disputes, products liability matters, and employment litigation. In addition to serving her private clients, Lacey dedicated her time to providing pro bono services to immigrants seeking asylum, to the Miami-Dade County public defender’s special criminal counsel project, and to family law clients in Dade Legal Aid’s “Put Something Back” program.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Lacey has a long history of service in higher education. She was the Student Government President and member of the Board of Trustees for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also served on the Board of the Alumni Association of for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She currently serves on the Law Center Association of the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida and as the Chair of the Education Law Committee of The Florida Bar.

Lacey earned a B.S. in Economics and in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a J.D. at the University of Florida.
