ICYMI: TSG Advisors – Education’s Senior Advisor for Workforce Education, Dan McGrew, hosted a webinar to discuss how to get on Florida’s Master Credentials List. Below are our top three takeaways from the webinar session. ⬇️

1️. Submission Deadline: It’s crucial to apply early enough to allow processing time and ensure your application meets all criteria. September 30th is the final deadline to be considered for CAPE Funding designation for the 2025-2026 school year.

2️. Occupational Alignment: Your credential must be linked to a Standard Occupation Classification (SOC) that aligns with the current Framework of Quality (FoQ). This includes demonstrating its relevance through updated labor market data and meeting specific wage thresholds. For credentials needing to show local demand, be sure to provide evidence such as employer letters, job postings, and local labor market information.

3️. Application Process: Applications must be submitted by eligible entities like Florida College System institutions, Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs), or School Districts. Ensure all required documentation, like proctoring criteria, curriculum alignment, industry relevance, and curriculum alignment is readily available and up-to-date.
