ABOUT / Joe Moye
Joe Moye has over 35 years of experience as a business executive, entrepreneur and investor across the transportation and technology industries serving both the public and private sectors.
He was most recently the founding CEO of Beep, Inc., where he led their efforts in the safe testing and deployment of shared, autonomous vehicles to serve the needs of communities seeking to extend transportation options for their constituents. He has actively partnered with many state Departments of Transportation and the USDOT National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to promote openness and transparency in the testing of autonomous vehicles across the marketplace by leveraging data and learnings to advance this critical area of transportation innovation. Joe is a recognized expert and regular speaker in industry on the importance of U.S. leadership in multimodal autonomous transportation and safety technologies to positively impact roadway safety, deliver new mobility options for our citizens, and advance technology innovation across our Country. He has played an instrumental role in advancing economic development by attracting international OEMs to bring operations to the United States while assisting them in achieving compliance with U.S. regulatory obligations and policies such as Build America Buy America (BABA). Joe is very active and committed to workforce development and has championed efforts with academia, the private sector, government, and labor teams to prepare the workforce of the future. He is also a founding board member of a highly successful industry coalition which provides thought leadership and direction for policy and regulatory reform in support of automated transportation technologies and platforms.
Before joining Beep, Joe was President of the Software Division and General Manager of the Public Sector Business Unit for Virtustream, a leading enterprise cloud services and software company. He was a member of the executive team which successfully integrated the business, post-acquisition, into Dell Technologies.
Prior to that, Joe served as President of Blackbaud’s (BLKB) Enterprise Software Group where he led the transformation of the group’s migration to a successful SAAS platform and business model. Joe also previously held the position of CEO for Capgemini’s U.S. Public Sector Company where he led multiple strategic technology transformation programs for the U.S. Departments of Transportation, War, Homeland Security and Agriculture.
He originally founded Gazelle Consulting, a branded leader of strategic services in data modeling, data enrichment and analytics for the financial services industry. This business was acquired by Adjoined Consulting and then by Capgemini in 2006.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Florida State University. He is active in his community having served on multiple non-profit boards.
