Dr. Jennifer Peterson joins TSG Advisors – Education as an Advisor, bringing over a decade of expertise in resource development, educational leadership, and local community engagement. She has a distinguished track record of securing transformative funding to advance educational initiatives and workforce development.
Before joining TSG Advisors, Jennifer served as the Associate Vice President of Resource Development at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ). There, she spearheaded efforts that secured over $80 million in external funding to support programs focused on postsecondary access, STEM education, and workforce development. Notably, her leadership helped secure $3 million for the creation of the Nassau County Education Institute, addressing critical workforce shortages in fields like trucking and logistics.
Jennifer is a credentialed Grant Professional Certified (GPC), a prestigious certification that recognizes her expertise in resource development. She has also served as Chair of the Florida Council for Resource Development, supporting fundraising professionals across the Florida College System.
A Jacksonville native, Jennifer is passionate about improving her community and expanding her impact. She is a member of Leadership Jacksonville’s Class of 2022 and serves on the steering committee for EARN UP, a collaborative initiative focused on career pathways and increasing postsecondary retention. Additionally, she serves as Vice President of the Board of Family Promise Jacksonville, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of families experiencing homelessness.
Jennifer holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from Florida State University, where her dissertation examined the utilization of grant funding during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At TSG Advisors, Jennifer will leverage her extensive experience in grant strategy, resource development, and funding implementation to help organizations identify funding opportunities and develop sustainable programs that align with their mission. Her expertise will be instrumental in supporting TSG Advisors’ clients in driving lasting, impactful change in education and workforce development.
