ABOUT / Jason Fuqua
Jason Fuqua joined TSG Advisors – Public Safety after spending a decade leading nationwide public safety and telecommunications initiatives. Jason leads the public safety policy unit at TSG Advisors, working with the firm’s team of subject matter experts to serve clients.
As a public safety consultant, Jason works with tech companies, governments and elected officials to improve and enhance first responder communications and evolution to Next Generation 9-1-1. He has built a track record as a valuable strategist who can transform plans into workable solutions and drive interoperability among state and local systems.
Most recently, Jason was the Vice President of Sales for RapidDeploy, an integrated cloud-native emergency response platform. Starting as a regional director and working up to Vice President of Sales, Jason supported the due diligence process with multiple investors during funding rounds, guided market positioning and strategic growth plans to expand the company footprint. At RapidDeploy, he helped evoke legislative change, delivered public safety solutions for regional and state initiatives and advanced technology in 9-1-1 centers throughout the country while managing a national sales team and client portfolio.
Jason also worked as the Director of Professional Services at Inspired Technologies, where he led clients through strategic planning and process improvement activities while providing project management expertise across multiple industries. During this time, Jason consulted for various state 911 boards, including the FL E911 Board, and developed detailed plans for Florida public safety initiatives. Before moving into consulting, Jason held various roles in the financial services industry, working as a financial advisor managing clients across the southeast and teams of 50+ employees.
Currently, Jason is a member of numerous public safety associations, where he continues to contribute and advance public safety technology and next-generation 9-1-1. He also served as a board chair for the non-profit 2-1-1 of the Big Bend and is an alumnus of Leadership Tallahassee. Jason has presented individually and in collaboration with other public safety professionals at national events and conferences regarding public safety technology and overall industry development.
Jason is a Project Management Professional (PMP), holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and earned a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Florida State University.
Jason resides in Tallahassee, where he enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, and all things FSU athletics.
