TALLAHASSEE – TSG Advisors’ fast-growing Education Unit adds another heavyweight to its ranks as workforce development expert Dan McGrew joins the organization.
McGrew is one of the state’s foremost experts on workforce development. He spent a decade focusing on that area, part of a 25-year career in education and workforce. Dan was most recently the Senior Vice President of Workforce Program Development for CareerSource Florida, overseeing strategic policy development to direct workforce investments in Florida.
“If you need an expert to help your organization with workforce development, Dan is absolutely a state leader in that regard,” said Sheela VanHoose, TSG Advisors – Education Managing Principal. “We are thrilled he joins our rapidly expanding team and know that he will help clients navigate this rapidly evolving policy space.”
While at CareerSource Florida, McGrew successfully launched Florida’s Credentials Review Committee, which was responsible for developing the state’s Master Credentials list.

Dan’s enriched expertise in workforce development and ability to foster connections with industry power players will be a pivotal asset to the TSG Advisors – Education team as it continues to grow as a turnkey solution for education entities nationwide.
Outside of his day job, Dan is also deeply committed to community involvement and leadership training, with a prodigious list of board service and volunteerism. From longtime involvement in Leadership Tallahassee to a gubernatorial appointment to the Florida Scholars Academy to serving on the Florida Assistive Technology Advisory Council and the executive committee of the CareerSource Capital Region Board of Directors, serving on the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Citizen Advisory Council and much more – Dan pours his knowledge and expertise into the causes he cares about.
