Situation:

College of Central Florida sought to ensure its Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs aligned with regional workforce needs and prepared students for high-demand, in-demand jobs. Recognizing the importance of offering relevant and impactful programs, the college engaged TSG Advisors to conduct a comprehensive review of regional labor market trends and program performance. The goal was to identify opportunities to strengthen program alignment, improve outcomes, and address workforce gaps in the local economy.

Approach:

TSG Advisors conducted an in-depth analysis of the regional workforce landscape, focusing on alignment between CF’s CTE programs and labor market needs. This included assessing the outlook for jobs linked to existing CTE programs, evaluating whether the college was graduating enough students to meet annual job openings, and determining alignment with credentials on the Florida Master Credentials List. The review also analyzed regional industry and occupational trends, identifying potential new programs to address growth areas highlighted by the Labor Market Estimating Conference.

Result:

TSG Advisors delivered a comprehensive report outlining insights and recommendations. The analysis revealed specific opportunities to align current programs with high-demand industries and occupations. It also identified new program areas to address projected regional growth and recommended enhancements to ensure alignment with the Florida Master Credentials List.
